Help - Civil 3D Elevation value from Proxy Entity and block

I have a file with elevations mentioned as proxy entities in some areas (proxy entity includes elevation and an additional unrequired data) and as block in some areas (block provides data for point number, elevation and an additional unrequired data). How can i extract only the Elevation data from these entities so as to proceed with surface creation and works?

Is it possible to somehow assign the text value of the exploded text of the proxy entity to the elevation (Position Z) data?

Hi Yousuf,
Welcome to the Autodesk Forums.
Please post your drawing, the original before exploding. Let's see what you've got.

Yousuf,
Thanks for posting your drawing.
Your drawing was originally created with Civil 3D 2022, then I guess was opened and saved by Vanilla AutoCAD. That's the only explanation I can think of for the Proxy Entities. Somewhere in the world is the original Civil 3D drawing with COGO Points.
I was at first thinking you could Explode and then move the text to the intersection of Polyline X's, but not all the text are the same distance and angle away from the polyline X's. If you can move the text insertion points to the polyline X's, then command MOVETEXTTOELEVATION would work well.

Your proxy objects list this information:

ACAD_PROXY_ENTITY Layer: "PTS R15"
Space: Model space
Handle = 1c13f6
DXF name: PUNTO MDT V5
Class name: TCOPunto5
Application name: MDTv5OE
Product Desc: MDT v5 Object Enabler
Company: Aplitop S.L.
WEB Address: www.aplitop.es

Most importantly, your drawing is units (4) millimeters, otherwise I could extract the point information, but I won't touch a survey drawing in millimeters (or arch inches, etc).

Good catch Terry. Changing the Units is not a big deal. Just use -DWGUNITS and select "No" when you get: Scale objects in current drawing to reflect change in units? [Yes/No] <Yes>: N
I think this drawing was once useful and whoever turned it into a DXF or Vanilla Drawing should be throttled.

When the units are wrong, the file loses all credibility with me.  It may be that simply changing the units fixes it, but it may have been moved, scaled, etc.  Since the process I would use (although automated) would have to be completely redone, I won't begin to extract coordinates.

i used the movetexttoelevation command after exploding the entity. This worked but was a bit tedious.
