Hard-Return in Pipe Part label description
Not that I know of in the part list.
obviously you can edit properties, add return and copy paste

If possible, try using "Non-Breaking Space" in the text lines that you don't want to effected by the maximum text width.

I often use a \P or \X in Cogo Point labels. Not sure that will work with pipe labels or not. This is also the same for dimensions when added additional text to a label. The \P does a return and keeps the text above the line and the \X place the text below the line.

You use this in your part description in the toolspace?
Example FH ASSY W/6" GV & 6" DIP ~ 15.8'
would become FH ASSY W/6" \P \X GV & 6" DIP ~ 15.8'
This is what I am trying to stack. The first line of text
You example would read
FH ASSY W/6" GV\P& 6" DIP ~ 15.8' or FH ASSY W/6" GV\X& 6" DIP ~ 15.8'
I have used this for cogo point labels, not sure about pipe labels but it's worth a try.

Yes, that works perfectly. This is what I was after without the dragged state max width setting. Thank you Sir!!
Glad that worked out for you, I'd not tested it with pipe labels but with it working in Cogo point labels it seemed to fit the bill. Keep that in mind for other things as well, I like the width factor, but hard coding the return is my go to method when I'm trying to achieve a certain look.
This is an old school trick, not saying I'm old school. HAHA

that is going in the tool box. I thought it only was used for dimensions.

Are you referring to the Parts List Information Tab Description?
I used it in my Toolspace Description for an appurtenance part. Works great.
I've only used it in Cogo Point Labels so far. I figured that if it worked with one object then it might work with other ones. In my case I was using it to label trees where the field crew would enter the description with the DBH/Height/Spread values. So I set the label up in my description key so that it was DBH=#1\PHT=#2\PS=#3 this then placed the #s in the label and I could drag it around as need when things got a little cluttered.
My guess is it will work any of the C3D objects as there labels as they are similar to Cogo points/description keys.
In my current position I have little use for a parts list we just locate existing, but I'm sure it will come into play at some point where I'm doing existing pipe networks based on field data. I'm sure our engineering group would approve 😁
