Gravity pipe and structure export to Naviswork no 3D soild

we built pipe and structure in C3D and export to NWC navisworks,we found there no 3D soild in the NWC file(item 2,3 without 3d soild).which is different with other pipe structure.If you have any idea and help,please feel free to reply me ,thanks a lot.

Hi @Anonymous if you created everything correctly within Civil 3D, then you shouldn't have problems when exporting to Navisworks. I recommend the next steps:

 

1. Install the Autodesk Navisworks NWC Export Utility firstly. Here you have a link where you can find the right option depending on your Civil 3D versión.

2. Create data shortcuts of your pipe network and put it into a new drawing. Make sure you are using the same template in both of the drawings if you have a set of properties like color and layers that you want the solids to contain after creating the NWC file.

 

3. From your drawing where you have included the pipe network data references, execute the command NWCOUT, choose a location on your computer to save the file, and that's all.

Do not export while in top view.

Make sure you are in orbit (perspective) and solid is enabled in your styles.
