Globally Change Spot Elevation Format in AutoCAD

We regularly get surveys from our clients sites and overlay the file supplied on to the site layout. Unfortunately the format of the spot elevations on this particular survey has a rectangle around the elevation. When printed, we just get a solid black rectangle. Without exploding every single spot elevation, changing the colour of the text and then deleting the rectangle, I'm hoping there is a way to rectify this more efficiently. I don't know who did the survey as it was provided by the client.

Appreciate any support.

Thank you.

Attached is a small lisp that will cleanup the anonymous blocks. It removes the solid hatching and removes the color definitions from the MText in those blocks. It then performs a REGEN to display the changes. Note that it does take a few moments to run, so be patient. Command name after loading it is removehatchfromblocks
