Geomap fade

Is there a way to adjust the way the Geomap imagery displays? I would like to fade it back a bit so it's easier to see my linework in the foreground. Specifically would like a darker gray background in the "Map Road" mode. Maybe a feature to add in future releases.

When you add a GEOMAPIMAGE, you get full control over BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST and FADE.  This also works in map and hybrid views.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Brian, I knew when I performed a "Capture Area" that I had these capabilities but I did not like how the resolution was then fixed. However in playing with it some more I see that there is some ability to reload and increase the resolution of a captured image. However I cannot get it the image as clear as it is when zooming in before a capture, so I still would like to fade without capturing.

Don't believe it is possible without capturing - It could be that the available imagery is at its highest possible resolution as in my experience not all areas are available at all resolutions

I usually see varying differences in resolution of the original aerial image.  Urban areas seem to be better, rural less good.  I have attached  an example.  Both views have the same scale 1"=20', and Hybred map view and same geomap resolution settings.

You can clearly see the difference in resolution between both views.

Try doing a solid black hatch on a locked layer around your entire work area on the map, then send the hatch to back and adjust the layer's transparency until your satisfied with the darkening of the background image.
