Good morning ladies and gentlemen,
Our company just upgrade to auto cad civil 3d 2016. I noticed a new feature called geolcation that lets you import bing instead of google earth like civil 2010 did. My problerm is Geographic location- set coordiante system (page 2 of 2) I use 4202 texas north central nad83. But their is nothing with 4202. does anybody know that can help me step by step on how to use this correctly, and yes this a 2 part question. I have also attach a jpeg of screen shot

If you start command _MAPCSASSIGN ... do you find the coordinate system in that list? If so, use that command to assign a coordinate system to your drawing before you start the command _GEOMAP to get the live map from BingMaps.

To expand a little on Alfred's always excellent advice:
Don't use Geographic Location. That way is fraught with peril. There are two preferred ways to Assign a Coordinate System.
In the Civil 3D Workspace:
Toolspace >> Settings Tab >> Right-Click drawing name >> Edit Drawing Settings >> Units and Zone Tab >> Zone Categories
In the Planning and Analysis (Map) Workspace:
Map Setup Tab (on the Ribbon) >> Coordinate System Panel >> Assign
Before you hit the gas on Live Maps (_GEOMAP), it's best to have something in your drawing: points, linework, a shapefile. If you put in a shapefile of the county you're working in, it's a good check on your location. You have an excellent source of GIS data in your state -- TNRIS:
