Geolocation Aerial map not working Civil 3D 2017

I'm using civil 3D 2017, and i'm trying to open the aerial map in a Infraworks exported file, but the image doesnt show up. I swear i tried every single solution that i found here, but none of them worked.

What i'm doing is:

On Infraworks: Generate a model > Find a plce > Export imx file > Choose an area

On Civil 3D: Insert tab > On infraworks icon > Open infrawork model. Then, when the surface is there i try to turn the aerial map but when i change nothing happens. The ''BING'' logo is showing, but that's the only thing that display.

Solutions that i already tried: Reinstall all autodesk apps

- Sign out and in on my civil 3d account on civil 3D software

- Sign out and in on my accounts on browser related to autodesk

- Cleaned my internet info

- Reinstall only A360

- Turn on the hardware acceleration

- Install the Hotfix

I'm attaching a screenshot.

what coordinate system is assigned to the drawing and more importantly, is the drawing in a correct location relative to the coordinate system?

That's the second time we've had issues with South American coordinate systems lately. Can you post your drawing up here?

Your coordinate system is fine - as long as you are somewhere near Brasilia. My BING maps isn't showing anything either right there.

Got it - there are other objects WAY outside the bounds of your coordinate system in the drawing (ZOOM EXTENTS to see them). If you erase (erase ALL, remove your surface) them and save, then reopen your drawing the maps work fine.

Here's what I have. There were some pretty strange things going on with the Coordinate system, but I think it's all worked out.

Thank you again, Warren. The file you sent me did work. I'm gonna try, a few more times, your suggestion later.

And as you said before, those regions around Brasília are not working for some reason. I tested in other places and they all worked just fine.

Well, that's some weird situation but maybe it is just a temporary bug.

Arthur,

The UTM84-23S Coordinate System is Metric.

I looked at your Metric Units Drawing, which does NOT show Bing Live Maps no matter how far I zoom out, and Warren's Imperial (Feet) Drawing which shows Bing Image, and I had to conclude that your data is suspect.

Hi Dave

By suspect you mean that maybe that is a bug with my Civil 3D?

Is there a way to fix it?

No, I mean that your data might be bad. Can you post your Nuevo GPS 1.imx file?

Zipping the file will allow you to post.

Arthur,

OK, so how did you insert/import this IMX file into Civil 3D? I can "crack it open" in QGIS, as a Vector File, but honestly I'm stumped on how to bring it into C3D.

Its pretty simple, i'm attaching a print with the steps.

When you reach the ''Set a Coordinate System'' part, you just set the first option that show up

Then you go to ''Refine selection set'' e unmark all boxes but the Existing Ground

Finally you just Open model

Arthur,

Thank you. I'm learning new things this morning. I installed InfraWorks a couple of months ago, but I haven't used it yet. I'm not yet able to open Nuevo GPS 1.imx in Infraworks. (it only allows SQLite Format) So QGIS and Warren's drawing both show the same area. Is that your project location.

Dave,

About the imx file, i think this kind of file can only be open on civil 3D and others related programs, because it came as a Exported file from infraworks.

I dont really know how to link you directly to the coordinates of this place that i'm working on (if this is what you are trying to do)

If you want to use this Drawing on Infraworks you need to follow a different step-by-step. This video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIklM6p7Q6I&list=FLyye-SrNlOdQZVG4Xy7MFeA&t=0s&index=3 - helped me a lot and this specific part about civil 3D to infraworks starts at 7:13
