Hi Guys,

When I tried using the Vertical Datum Transformation tool, these dialog boxes pops out.

I checked the folder of geoid model and found that there are actually geoid model files in the folder i.e. g2018u0.bin, g2012bu0.bin.

What could be the problem for why geoid and ellipsoid models weren't found or missing in Civil 3D?

Thank you!

I'm wondering if you have a defect in your install.  I notice there is two slashes in your path before Geoid Models '\\'.

I searched the windows registry to see if there is a setting that is saved pointing to that folder.  I couldn't find one.

I would probably try a clean uninstall. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/civil-3d/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t...

Hi @charlee_erno,
I get the same. I don't know anybody that has gotten the Vertical Datum Transformation Tool to work.

Hi Dave @Pointdump,

You mean Vertical Datum Transformation is basically useless?

Thanks @Anonymous.

Can you access and use Vertical Datum Transformation in your Civil 3D?

"...Vertical Datum Transformation is basically useless?"

Yup. But I get proved wrong sometimes.

One direction you might go is to download and run >>>VDATUM<<<.
