C3D 2019.

Is something going on with geographiclocation?  can't get it to work, won't display maps.  Have been using it a lot recently.

What is the command to turn on the dialogue box asking if you want to use online maps when you first open a dwg?

Gonna need more information. Details please.

Hi,

In your drawing settings when you set the country and coordinate system it automatically load the geolocation tab.

Or else you can type GEOLOCATION on command line to load it.

Thanks

You will need to assign or establish  the appropriate projected coordinate system (as opposed to a geographic coordinate system) first. Failure to establish a CS won’t allow you to get Bing imagery.

The projected coordinate system you assign to modelspace is typically, but not limited to, State Plane feet (for US drawings) or UTM meters. A geographic coordinate system will not use feet or meters, it will use degrees, such as LL84.

Good morning and thanks for the direction to turn on the hidden message for the online maps.  I don't understand how that would affect the map displaying but apparently it did.  After turning on the message, I started a new dwg and it all worked fine.

My problem yesterday was the window dialogue box that pops up when you evoke geo command would be empty of the world map with the words "... can't be displayed".  I had the coordinate system assigned through toolspace settings as always and verified through the Planning and Analysis workspace/Map Setup/Assign that the correct coordinate system was current.  It just would not call in the maps.  A coworker using 2018 could use and see the maps. The only other coworker using 2019 says his maps do not work at all.  I will check to see if his hidden message is turned off.

Thank you to those that responded.  I do appreciate it.  Today is a good day.
