geo tiff insert issue

I have a know coordinate system geo tiff and a known coordinate system in C3D.  I cannot get this geotiff to come into the dwg correctly.  I have tried removing the coordinate system to no datum no project in the dwg.  This does not help.  Seems like the raster design insert wizard will get it work if I do a pixel by pixel transformation.  I don't want to do that because it will take many many hours.  The mapiinsert command is failing me.!

What else could I possibly be missing here?  I've tried inserting in feet, meters, and inches.  The image file is in feet.

Any help would be great.

Solved.  I used iinsert (raster design insert).  Use the insertion wizard.  And then use the 3 point affine translation.  Then I am allowed to specify the image's coordinates and the dwg coordinates.
