From Trial to Paid Subscription

Howdy,

I have recently moved from a trial period of C3D to a paid 12 month subscription.

After entering the activation code and having a look at the available modules, I decided to check if my version is up to date.

It appears to be, running 11.0.771.0 SP1.1.

However, since activation and updating to SP1.1, C3D has been running exceptionally badly. It is crashing way more than normal and simple tasks are causing freezes and more complex tasks can cause long delays.

A few odd things have happened, like the xref jpg on the template I use went missing and the xref was pointing to a temp folder instead of the corporate logo folder, etc.

Other than activating and installing SP1.1, I have not made any changes to this laptop since starting the trial period, during which, performance was reasonably good. The graphics card (discrete and onboard) drivers have been updated since the problems started occurring, but have failed to fix anything.

The laptop is:

Gigabyte P57W

CPU: Intel 6th Gen. i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz(Turbo 3.5GHz)

OS:Windows 10 64bit

RAM: 16GB RAM 2133MHz

HDD: 256GB M.2 SSD + 1TB SATA

Graphic: Nvidia GTX 1060M Graphics 6GB DDR5 Dedicated VGA

Screen: 17.3” IPS FHD(1920x1080) LED Screen

When using the desktop app, the tab for C3D has a manage button, which causes it to try and start installation. Considering that C3D is installed already, this isn't helpful.

I am considering backing up my customisation file, deleting C3D and starting again. Is this a good solution? Are there other things I can try?

Things I have tried:

- WHIPTHREAD

- Level of Detail

- GRAPHICSCONFIG on/off

- Turning off/freezing layers with large amounts of data

- Purge/Audit/MapClean

- Updates to Intel and NVidia graphic drivers

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards

You did not mention if you tried a "Repair of your installation."  Takes about 15 minutes.

  1. On the Start menu (Windows), click Settings > Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, double-click Programs and Features.
  3. Select the Autodesk product, and then click Uninstall/Change.
  4. When the installer launches, click Repair.
  5. Follow the prompts to  repair the product.

I have tried the old restart, complete shut down, etc.

It didn't help at all.

Late yesterday, it all started working fine again.

I threw a few medium sized data sets (bathy and topos) threw it and there were no further issues.

I have no idea what changed.

Thanks for taking a look anyway.

Добрый день. Выполнил все по инструкции но ошибка, описанная выше, осталась. Что еще можно попробовать?
