Flat Bottom for Sanitary Manholes

Okay, I've laid out my sanitary sewer system, put in all the inverts and rims, and set the sump to zero, but I've still got a problem. When Civil 3D draws everything in the profile view, the bottoms of the manholes are several inches below the pipe inverts. Now, I think I know what's causing that: the thickness of the bottom. My problem is that my boss and the review agencies will NOT accept that. The bottom has to be lined up with the outgoing pipe.

Anyone know how I can get the bottom to look good?

First you chuckle at the ignorance of not showing outside dimensions which is what is actually in the ground and better identifies interferances....

Then you learn partbuilder.

Open a MH part and edit it to be able to have a floor thickness of .001 and save this to a new part name so it doesn't get over-written with upgrades and ports easy with new versions.

Add the new part to your part list and use it.

Thank you. Took a bit of doing to find PartBuilder and master it, but once I did, it was a breeze. I went ahead and added several different thicknesses to the manhole so I can play around with it and get it looking just the way they want it.

I just KNOW they'll find something wrong with how I've done it the first time!
