Hi Larry,
More details please on what you want to do. The Datum is based on the Spheroid, so if you choose another Spheroid it changes the Datum.

Ah. I am asking if I can change the spheriod coordinates or Federal Information Processing Standard state code for a civil 3d drawing. I have my datum at 1983 (NAD83), but how do I ensure that the spheriod is grs1980, or is that already set?

Larry,
The NAD83 Datum does indeed use the GRS1980 Ellipsoid(Spheroid).
Use Command MAPCSLIBRARY to get particulars (Click "View") on any Coordinate System or Datum.

Thanks so much. Yeah, I was not too familiar with spheroid coordinates.
