It looks to me like the linework codes aren't set up properly. If you have a bunch of points all with the same code for EOP, then C3D will just connect them in the order of the points.
- But if you have them labeled as EOP1, EOP2, & EOP3 then C3D will see them as separate features.
- Or instead of adding numbers after the description, you can use B and E modifiers and C3D will know to end one feature and start a new one:
608,988848.8,615736.6,620.1,EOP B
609,988849.4,615775.1,624.1,EOP
610,988836.5,615811.7,628.0,EOP
611,988821.9,615826.4,630.0,EOP E
613,988700.0,615851.0,642.7,EOP B
614,988644.5,615851.6,647.9,EOP
615,988625.7,615852.7,649.9,EOP
616,988594.5,615850.0,651.3,EOP E
634,988500.0,615757.9,627.8,EOP B
635,988805.9,615836.1,632.0,EOP
636,988845.7,615794.2,625.9,EOP
637,988768.5,615849.5,635.8,EOP E
P.S. One benefit of using the numbers with the codes is that they can intermingle. When you're taking cross section shots, you might have sidewalk, then the other side of the sidewalk, the EOP (right side), crown, and EOP (left side). All of these could be shot before moving down to the next set of shots. So they might look like SW1, SW2, EOP1, CRWN, EOP2. C3D would connect all the EOP2 shots as one string, all the EOP2 shots as another string, etc....
