Feature Lines - Insert Elevation Points on Adjacent Feature Lines Perpendicular to a Source Feature Line

Hey All, this one has bothered me for awhile.

Let's say I have a feature line, I have completed the design on it, and I  insert elevation points at an increment - 10m for arguments sake. I have an adjacent feature line. If I was using a corridor, the benefit would be that elevation points (sampling distance) are populated perpendicular to each other wherever the condition exists.

Is there a way (without using elevations by reference, or any other function that alters the grades of a feature line), to insert elevation points on an adjacent feature line that are perpendicular to the source line? By simply inserting the same increment of 10m, the odds of the vertices aligning for different polygons are slim given the variable geometry. 
       - Is there a way to define a start point for the increment?
       - Does anyone know of a lisp that might accomplish this given the insertion distance would be variable?
       - Any other ideas to accomplish the task without using some type of assembly/corridor?

Maybe use stepped offset to create two new FLs then edit them to join the portions you want to keep and delete what you don't want to keep. I would put the existing FLs on separate sites to start to keep them form influencing each other.

Ideally, I approach it in a more holistic matter. I think I'll slap together a lisp so I can accomplish the work in a click or two. Thanks

This has been added to DotSoft's C3DTools, as FeatureLine Edit > Add > Offsets.  Accepts one source FeatureLine with Elevation Points and a selection set of FLs to acquire the offset values.   Existing users run Check for Updates.
