Feature line with thousand of intermediary points crashing civil 3D

Hi,

I'm working with a complex grading site and after working in the 3D Polyline, feature line is getting thousand of intermediary points, and even Weeding it results in no improvements.

The final plans are between the blue dots, so, considere that I'm doing a trapezoid in 3d for each lot.

It freeze and sometimes break the file. I'm sure that it have something to do with torsion of the plane, so, if my toughs are correctly, I'll need to make the plan "plan" and set the same grade to parallel lines?

but even with it set to one elevation, still have thousand of intermediary points. Even after auditing it still there.

I see in the image of the FL with 1000's of points that they all have the white symbol that indicates they are created by crossing other FL or parcels. Try creating a new site and moving that FL only to the new site.

When the word Thousands is combined with civil3d IMHO = trouble.

move your FL to site = none and try

then figure out a neutral site if necessary.

Also, is line supposed to be @ existing or is it a FG Feature?

IF EG consider re-evaluation the triangulation of the EG surface

Oh, so, if I keep the original FL taken off from the surface, will it intersect with the new FL even though I didn't choose that option?

I'll reduce the number of vertices (600.000 actually to the whole area (40ha)) to see if it improve things too.

The original FL from the surface was inside a block and in a frozen layer.

Thanks!

Edited. Cheers! Worked like a charm. I used both solutions, decreased the number of triangles and moved the surface feature line to another site! It made the grading instantly.
