I receive the following error message "Fatal error: unhandled access violation reading 0x0000 exception at 86b3ec7dh" when I try to Capture Area on my Civil 3D 2015, could someone please help me find a solution to this problem.

Hi,

not sure what you mean by "capture area", what command are you starting here?

And does the crash appear in all drawings you start this function or just in one specific drawing?
