Extract Survey Figure from X-ref

Good morning everyone.  Thank you, in advance.

I have an x-ref in my drawing - highly unusual, I know.  I typically use nest copy ('ncopy) to pull the relevant linework over to my file to then manipulate.  However, ncopy does not work for survey figures.

The work around I have been using is to open the base map, explode the survey figure, generate a polyline from it, add the polyline as a breakline to the surface (if one exists), save the base map, then update my x-ref so I can pull the newly created polyline in.

Has anyone found a better/faster option that, preferably, does not require modifying the x-ref'd file?

It sounds to me like your trying to create an existing ground surface from your survey drawing, instead of exploding all the survey figures import them into the drawing from the survey database and then use the figures as your breaklines.

The Sincpac-C3D add on package has the EXTRACT2D command that does this.
