Export to KMZ

I am using Civil 3D 2014 with Windows 7.

I have a client asking me to provide a .kmz file. But I don't see the Export KML button in my toolbox. Is it in a different location in 2014, maybe? Any help here would be appreciated.

Slant,

I don't have 2014. And the computer I'm on right now only has 2010. But if you've got the Export to KMZ function, it will be under Miscellaneous Utilities:

Thanks for the reply, dave.

Yes, i looked in the toolbox for it, but 2014 apparently doesn't have this functionality. I ended up signing up for a free trial of some third party software. If this becomes a thing for us, i suppose i'll have to look into a more permanent solution. For the time being, it's taken care of.

does PublishKML work?

sounds like something is not loading right. do you have an original copy of c3d.cuix? or try a repair on the installation?

Slant,

Most of my workarounds involving file formats are accomplished with the free QGIS. You can export a shapefile to QGIS and turn it into a KML or KMZ.

Global Mapper will also do this, but it's not free. There are a world of programs out there, some of them free:
