Hi,
I am currently working with Planning and Analysis workspace of Civil 3D software. I am having multiple shape files and spatial data base (SDF) files connected with Data connector command. Many times I am generating thematic maps with the use of expression builder and doing calculations from shape file or SDF files create calculation properties. Detail of any kind calculations can be visible in data attribute tables with other fields/ attributes. With thematic maps I needs to generate the Excel file for same data.
Currently I am finding an option of generating CSV file from data attribute table (using select all and Export). This method is appropriate to generate the CSVs (can be converted to EXCEL file directly) but this process is not providing me the appropriate result of having column headings/ field headings.
Is there any method to export data attribute table directly in Excel file with column headings.
(Process screenshots for exporting CSV are attached)
Thank you

If I understand correctly, you should be able to open excel, close the blank spreadsheet, then drag/drop the .DBF file from the ShapeFile collection into Excel.

Hi @TerryDotson
I am actually trying to automate certain reputative work. By using .DBF file type I am not able to use calculated columns (columns generated with expression builder) as it is not being stored in base shape file.

Hi Aniket,
Terry's way is easy and works great. Another way, in QGIS, is to Export(SaveAs) the shapefile as a CSV file, which you can open directly into Excel.
"...I am not able to use calculated columns (columns generated with expression builder) as it is not being stored in base shape file."
You lost me there. More details please. A screen shot or two would be helpful.
