Elevation labels across a corridor

Hi!

do you know how can I add elevation labels across a corridor, like seen in the photo below?

I tried adding corridor points, but they were added across frequency lines and not not sample lines and they were rotated. So is there any better way to do that?

Thanks!

Hi @tomCFXDN, "points from corridor" was a good choice. You can set the corridor frequency according to your needs, get the points and later return to the frequency you had before getting the points. Since COGO points can be easily rotated, you could rotate them manually if your project is not big. Otherwise, you can elaborate a dynamo graph to automate the process. This graph should consist of 3 main tasks: creating the points at the desired frequency, getting the elevation from a surface, and finally rotating them as you wish.

Elevation signs along a corridor are important because they tell people how high each part of the corridor is in comparison to the other parts.

This can be especially helpful in a building with many floors and levels, where it can be hard to tell them apart.

By putting labels on each section's height, people can find their way around the building more easily and avoid getting lost or confused. Also, rescue workers can learn a lot from elevation labels, which tell them at a glance which parts of the building are on top of or below other parts.

Hi Michal,
I tried to follow this workflow and could not find "Add Labels" in the 'right-click' context menu of the corridor.
I checked on C3D 2023 and 2024.
Is this an older feature that got removed?
