Drawing Plotting Colors

   Hi all,

Hopefully have a simple one here. While working in a drawing I created a couple of layers to draw in some easements and setbacks. When I go to plot the drawing it is plotting the true color of those particular layers. In the page setup I have the plot style set to monochrome and cant see anything different about the new layers than the other layers that are plotting normal. Any ideas on how to get all layers to plot monochrome?

As always, Thank you!

Hi @nusouthsc   What color did you assign to the layers?  Did you assign them a true color instead of an index color?  True colors always print in color.

You can't assign plot color to true color; you must use the AutoCAD index colors.

I'm going to make the assumption that you're drawing is setup to plot in a color based format (vs style based) and you're using the Monochrome.ctb file.   I would then guess that either the objects themselves have a color applied to them other than the 1-255 colors controlled by the monochrome.ctb, or, they're set to color ByLayer and the color set for the layer is not in the 1-255 color range.
