Distance between Profiles

How do you find the distance between profile elevations at a given station? Say I want to have a distance of 0.6" from my proposed surface to my existing surface. Is there a quick and easy way to mark on a profile view the stations that this occurs at?

I have originally just been using a station elevation of the profile view and sort of tracing the profiles until I reach the desired difference.

You could show the vertical distance between the two with a profile view data band.  The band can show the property of "Profile1 elevation minus Profile2 elevation"

Oh I see. The issue is that I want the elevations of the feature line (existing ground) I projected into the profile view displayed

Create a copy of the proposed profile. Lower it by 0.6".

Then using profile view labels mark all the intersection points with existing ground.

If you happened to want to convert a feature line to a profile, you can do this using Dynamo and the Civil3DToolKit package. Check out the Dynamo forum for more: https://forum.dynamobim.com/c/civil3d/17
