Delete Grading Criteria

I'm trying to create a pond with grading objects. I have successfully graded it but need to adjust the location and when I tried to Re-grade it the grade to surface doesn't show up but there are no errors or anything. I deleted the feature lines, grading group etc and added them back and it still will not work. I thought I would go in and delete the grading criteria set and the ones I want to delete say they are in use but there is nothing in them. Can anyone help with this?

Hi @ktucker    Maybe the the criteria set you can't delete is set as the default set.  From the toolspace palette go to settings tab and expand grading, then expand commands, right click on GradingTools select edit command settings, in Grading Layout Tools change the default criteria set.

The grading criteria I'm trying to delete are ones that I created.

If you right click on the criteria set in the toolspace palette there is an option Find References. That will show you what is referencing them.

perhaps the grade to surface overshoots the existing ground. try changing the daylight slope to catch EG sooner as a test to see if it is working.

I've tried that, it's only after I create the grading and then delete and then try to add again is when it won't work.

This is a long standing issue. Most times you can remove them with the methods in the links below. Sometimes those methods don't work and you should then re-build templates.
