Datalink table styles

ok, created my Excel spreadsheet and my datalinks for the correct file, tab and cells.

create a table in Civil 3D and every cell in the table is filled.....

how do you set a table style that will not fill every cell with a some crazy color.

The table data is there, just covered with the cell fill color.  really annoying Autocad.

i do not want to cleanup every table i create.  CRAZYness.

the attached has the same two tables - one i have removed the background fill and the other is TRASH for me.

oh, i did create a new table style , which has no background fill and that does not change the background fill problems when i use that style.

still looking for  a solution with Google and here in the forum.

thanks

ok, select the table and right click and select RemoveAllPropoeruOverwrites. and the background fill is gone....

now how do you get that into a Table Style?  and not have to "clean" every table of the background trash?

Hello AutoCAD anyone have a solution?

thank you for the reply.  I cannot read the screen text, and have no ideal where to look for the menu.

Sorry i am not a POWER civil 3d user.   I can design almost anything for a civil project - just wish more companies would invest in Standards and not a pretty picture.

Hello Charles

Sorry if it was unclear. it click in a table cell the ribbon is contextual and will go to the table cell tab. on the tab is a cell panel the panel shows the color of the cell style background. I do not see anywhere in the table style definition where the cell color is defined nor can I locate a system variable that control it. My hunch is that either someone saved a cell style with the fill on in your template or there is a hidden variable.

if you create a blank table without a data link using the same style are the cells filled? if the answer is yes then my first hunch is probably correct

is there another style in the template to try?

When you create the datalink do you go through the whole rigaramore of range yadada yadada? Does Excel have some funky background color?

Try highlighting the cell range in excel >>copy

then in acad pastespecial>>link>>acad object.

lets see what happens
