Data Referenced Corridor

Hello,

I'm currently data referencing a corridor for street section views and noticing that the corridor data shortcut is not updating.  In the parent drawing(base file) I've created section views and the corridor is updating in the parent file, but the section view is updating when I try to synchronize into the section view sheets.  I've tried deleting the corridor from the shortcut folder and re-creating the data shortcut with no luck.  I've also cleaned out the temporary folders on my computer as well.   Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Also, Im currently using Civil 3d 2018.

You can replace any data referenceable (is that really a word?) object with a data reference. On the Manage tab of the ribbon, open up the "Manage Data Shortcuts" tool.

In the Data Shortcut Manager, choose your corridor on the left side, then choose the data shortcut you want to use on the right side, and then click the little link icon between them.

I have had a bear of a time with this and mostly sitck to xref the corridor as attached.

what I do know is that there is an issue with DR corridors that have offset assemblies. so anything more complicated than standard street section n may be problematic.

I will attest that xrefing the corridor as attached has never failed

Be sure to Rebuild the Corridor before you save and exit the source drawing.
