Data Reference Corridor disply feature line

I have a lovely corridor of a site plan / subdivision. I data refed into another file and want to modify the display of the corridor feature lines to no avail. I went back the the source and changed the feature lines in the corridor to display how I want but the change does not come through in the host drawing.

Is this expected ? maybe I have the wrong workflow.

Changing the display of drefed corridors is a little flaky. I found that best results come from using the same code set  as the source drawing when importing the corridor. Then you can change the code set style to what you want. If any changes are made to the code set you have to exchange the code set used for any other, regenerate, change back and regenerate. Any change to the corridor code set in the source can trigger the need to swap codes sets in the client. Civil 3d standard (meaning a real nuisance but manageable once you get used to it).

I have done all that and nothing changes. everything is one color green. Make sure I got this correct the feature line style gets assigned in the point code.

maybe I hosed it up changing the feature line in the corridor properties dialog before I got into this adventure.

Is the a reset button?

Yes the feature lines are controlled by the point codes in the code set.

I only tried to print a dref corridor once, its was a forking pain getting things to be and stay right in 2017. 2020 seems to update properly with just swapping code sets (instead of using regen) to update changes.

I think I was able to reset with out deleting and replacing by changing the source, saving it, changing the client to match the source and then syncing the drawings. But its been a couple of years since then, the memory is fuzzy.

my first experience drefinh a corridor was before I knew offset assembly weee not supported. Ideally I’d be satisfied with it all being ofn a no plot layer. I want it solely to annotate a grading plan
