I am working on a subdivision project which requires roadway and pad grading. The roadway and pad grading are currently in separate files. Whenever a roadway profile is updated, we spend a lot of time updating the pad grading to meet the ROW elevations. Is there a way to data reference the roadway surface into a drawing and have the proposed pad grading surface update automatically when changes to the roadway surface have been made?
I would love to get feedback on how other engineers/designers manage large subdivision files for roadway and pad grading. Greatly appreciate your help!
