Hello Everyone,
I have a problem with a project, hope you guys can help. I need to create a profile style similar to this sample.

Profile sample.png

I can create bands to show the elevations at an interval, but cannot make it show all the elevation changes in the profile line, in the elevation bands.
Can anyone help?
Anyone have template similar to this?

Hi,

>> but cannot make it show all the elevation changes in the profile line

Does that mean that you'd like to see the text with elevation at the profile vertices?

PS: if you upload a dwg-file with such a profile and your styles we can see your current settings (and please let us know which version of Civil 3D you have)

Hi,

I'll create a video which shows the necessary steps, it's your decision if ..

  • I create that video in English Civil 3D, then I only have release 2019, so you have to do the same with your drawing (as my dwg-file created with 2019 can't be used with your version 2017)
  • I create that video in German Civil 3D 2017, then you can use the dwg-file I create during the video.

Sorry that I don't have version 2017 installed in English language.

Hi Alfred,

No need to apologize.

I am familiar with Civil3D 2019. It will be great help if you could Create the video in English with Civil3D 2019.

I am not so good at German.

Hay Alfred,

Thank you so much for taking time to make a vidio to help me with my problem.

I worked it out with Civil 3D 2017, just followed your instruction. It was a god send for me.

Thanks again, Keep up the good work.

Hi @arman.zmn,

I like @Alfred.NESWADBA's worklfow/solution above and I just want to add more information about your inquiry. Basically this is an alternative approach if you want to use the profile data band method to display all the labels.

Please see below or attached <screencast link> to guide you about Profile Data Band Method.

Attached two drawings below:

1. ProfileDesignProblem_2019_DataBandMethod.dwg

2. ProfileDesignProblem_2019_with Kilometer.dwg

Please see kilometer workflow:

Cheers,
