Custom scales Not working

Hello,

I'm having an issue in 2016 version with the viewport custom scale command, which I've used quite often in previous versions. When I click on "Custom Scale" in the list of scales, there isn't a window or any prompts in the command box. I've also tried theSCALELISTEDIT commasnd and nothing seems to happen. I've read other feeds about how it's locked in viewport, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. Any tips?

The Viewport might be locked. This prevents the scale dialogue from appearing.

To unlock it, select the Viewport & toggle off the paddle lock icon, or turn it off in Properties Palette.

It wasn't the lock. The scale can't even be changed when it's locked. The problem is when I scroll through the scale choices and I click on "Custom Scale", The dialog window that allows me to choose a scale and a name for the scale doesn't appear. In the command bar I've typed SCALELISTEDIT  and nothing would happen. I've recently jumped from 2012 to 2016 and I'm wondering if this is sn AutoCad issue.

The dialog is lost in some dual monitor twilight zone.

type SCALELISTEDIT         ----  This will "turn on" the dialog, but you won't see it.

Press Alt+Space to activate the dialog's menu and then select Move.

Use your arrow keys to move the dialog onto your screen.

In addition to the custom dialog, the Add and Edit sub-dialogs also moved out of sight.

In my case, I clicked with the mouse on the scale tooltip, then pressed the ALT-SPACE, 'M' (Move for English Windows), and then right arrow on the keyboard. Once the arrow key was pressed (and released), I could use the mouse to drag the lost dialog window into the real screen.

OS: Win 10, Hebrew edition

I know this thread is a little old but I think it may somewhat help me, my only problem is that don’t have the duo screens I previously worked on. So is there any other way to bring up the SCALELISTEDIT box up? I tried the Alt+space bar, then selected “move” but I think this only works if you have that other screen. Any help us greatly appreciated. Thx!

can u solve it? i had the same problem, just press and arrow key (right or left) after you select the move option , then move the mouse to the sides, it should pop up
