Curve and Line Tables not displaying correct bearing

Curve and Line Tables not displaying correct bearing

Heel everyone,

I'm having a problem getting my curve and line tables to display the proper bearings.  I have a UCS set up for the proper basis of bearings, which is not world UCS...it needs to match the previous plats we have done.   All my labels that aren't Tags work properly with a rotated UCS, but the tags don't

Any suggestions?

That's a tough question. The problem lies in that Line tables will not allow you to access an expression, otherwise you would just make an expression that add or subtracts the angular difference between UCS and WCS. That's most likely why your regular labels work. Someone created an expression.

Civil 3D is not meant to follow UCS, only WCS.

I think you're going to have to rotate the project to match the basis of bearings you have and am curious why you haven't. I will be interested to see if other solutions are out there.

You can try xref'ing the base into another drawing, and rotating and labeling it there, but you will find that the labeling only tells you the xref has been moved. Another roadblock to a simple solution. 😞

Well, I haven't rotated the base drawing because things were already well under way when I "inherited" it.  That would be more trouble than it's worth at this point.  I might just have to manually make the tables.

Thanks for the help.

Tim,

Agreed. And you said it far better than I could.
