Crossing Gravity Pipes with no end structures not showing up in Profile View

Hi,

I have a stormwater lateral connecting almost perpendicularly to a main. I want to display this lateral in the main's Profile View so I can label the invert RL and chainage of the connection. The pipe is not connected to any structures because using Null Structures at the ends of the pipe or at the locations where the laterals connect to the main divides the main into far too many shorter lengths then display's terribly in the Profile View. Therefore, I have just drawn the part using the Pipe Only tool and made it cross the main slightly. The lateral's alignment also crosses the main and I have set the Style Override to the correct crossing style.

If I extend the lateral past the main by a larger amount, it then shows up correctly in my Profile View but in Plan View it looks like the lateral crosses the main and end in the middle of nowhere.

If anyone has any idea why the lateral shows up when extending past the main excessively vs. a small amount, please share your ideas. Alternatively, if someone uses a different workflow to get similar results, ie. display laterals/junctions in the Profile View of the main without dividing the main into smaller sections, that would also be very helpful.

Cheers

Of course after hours of trying to search for an answer and finally taking the time to post to the forums, I solve the issue minutes later.

The alignment of the main had moved just enough so the lateral wasn't crossing the main's alignment. Simple

This bring me back to being able to dynamically link an alignment to a set of spanning pipes after creating an alignment using Alignment from Network tool rather than creating the alignment first and referencing the pipes to the associated alignment -> which also doesn't seem to keep the alignment and pipe dynamically linked anyway....issue for another day.
