Creating View frames

I have a dwg that does not have alignments in it. I need to create view frames for plotting purposes. I have created the view frames to sufficiently cover the design. How can I have it create the drawing that contains the layouts using the view frames? 

Or is that ONLY available when you have an alignment?

Hi,

You can always create dummy alignments.  May be profiles also.

Create one. Create view frames and sheets. Delete them afterwards.

something i do alot.

just use the View command, and give each view frame a name.

open a layout tab, create a viewport, go to model space inside the viewport and set the View to which ever named view you want.  I do this alot for LARGE drainage area maps.

Yeah I use views a lot to do this exact thing. But with long haul jobs where I might have 200 layouts makes it time consuming. The Sheet creation tool in C3D makes that a couple minute process. But it is based off of alignments. Which is great for those long-haul jobs just going down a highway v in a more urban neighborhood setting.
