I don't remember if I already posted this or not, but I want to be able to automate the process to align the cogo labels to be in the same direction as the line

I am guessing there would some work flow that involves extracting the orientation from each part of the poly line and reference it to the cogo points that are attached to the polyline and add that extra information through excel?

Reimport the points and set up the description key to take in the rotation angles? (i am not even sure what format is required for it to read)

Am I missing anything?

is there an easier way to go about doing this?

If you were to consider third party add-ons, DotSoft's C3DTools has a Point Rotate tool that will rotate multiple CogoPoints to underlying geometry (polylines, lines, featurelines, etc).  Also allows a relative rotation in case the user wants to add something like 90° to each.

A video would be quite short since there's only two prompts.  However, here is a before and after screen capture.  The points inside the dotted circles are on midpoints.
