Creating cogo points on an alignment

Good afternoon, all...

I'm creating a geometric layout for a road alignment, and this includes creating cogo points for the beginning and end of the alignment, along with pc's and pt's, etc.

My problem is that C3D also adds the radius point and midpoints of all the curves, which I don't need. I haven't been able to find where I can control this, and I know it's there somewhere...

Anyone have some knowledge on this?

Thanks, Tom...

Hi  civilman1957 ,

You can edit this in corridor properties - frequency.  You can also exclude certain cogo points that you dont want by going to the point group properties. Cheers

Morning, Mg, and thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, we aren't creating a corridor. The points are for a simple road cen terline layout. And, we wanted to have the points numbered sequentially, so putting the points in and then deleting and renumbering is a bit tedious. I was hoping to avoid creating the unwanted ones to start with...

Hi  civilman1957,

The only other thing I can think of that I have done previously is use the weeding command. I made a post on it previously (scroll to the bottom). Cheers

THIS tool may be of interest to you. You can display just the geometry points of interest then create the CogoPoints.

Or, THIS one could be what you are looking for.

I don't know how to change that setting but I do know how to make points with Dynamo and the Civil3DToolkit  😃
