Hi

I'm using AutoCAD Civil3D 2014 and I'm trying to find a LISP routine to create AutoCAD points on all the vertices of multiple polylines by clicking and selecting all the polylines at once, see precast panel prep I'm working on below, there's about 500 panels with 4 points to create on each corner, instead of clicking about 500 times on each closed polyline, I will then convert all to COGO points for setout

Can anyone help me out??

Not a lisp, but you can use the MapClean command to break the polylines at crossing, use the join command to make new polylines, and then use the CREATEPTPLYLNCTRVERTAUTO command to add points at each polyline vertex. It would cut down on the clicks. Although this would end up with a bunch of duplicate points.

Hi Greg,

 

You can create points on Polyline vertices by following methodology, 

 

By Civil 3D method: use CREATEPTPLYLNCTRVERTAUTO command on C3D, but you have to select the polyline each time since if you have *number of

polylines than you need to select *number of times.Advantage of this method is you can assign Description for all points and assign point identity number automatically at any stage of your work.

By ACAD method: use LIST command and select objects press enter till end the command function than copy the list history and place it in to excel and bring it into standard format which can easily import to C3D or Upload to survey instrument.

 

I always prefer the 2nd method for large sites(say around 500 to 1000 columns)  and sometime 1st method (say around 30 to 50 columns).
