This is the E-A-S-Y way. If you have a shapefile with attribute data, do this:
1. While in Google Earth Pro go to File=>Import

2. Change files of type to ESRI Shape (*.shp)=>Browse to then select your shapefile=>Open

3.The next three (3) windows are optional. If you choose to set up a 'Parcel Template' you may choose PIN for Set Name Field under the Name Tab (refer to image on far right). This example shows FCode instead of PIN.

4. If you choose to exercise this option, Name and Save your template in the default Google Earth Pro folder. The template will have '.kst' extension.

5. Your imported shapefile will now be displayed under Temporary Places. The box next to the shapefile's name will be blank. Place a check mark in the blank box and your linework will appear in the map area.

6. Right-click the shapefile's name to access the Linework Properties. You can control line color and line weight. You may choose to have fill (hatch) or not to have fill. You may choose the color and transparency of the fill.

7. Right-click the shapefile's name under Temporary Places=>Save Place As=>Save in your project folder in either kml OR kmz format.
<<NOTE: If you don't save the imported shapefile you'll lose it when you close Google Earth Pro. Alternatively, you may Save to My Places from the same right-click shortcut menu instead of Save Place As. This is why GE Pro calls it Temporary Places, it's not permanent until you perform Save to My Places OR a Save Place As operation.>>

8. Click on an 'AREA' and you'll see a pop-up which will display the shapefile's attributes. You may email the new kml/kmz file to a colleague so they can open it in GE Pro.
