I want to use my template  A1 Plan over Plan 1 to 100 but I have no knowledge how to do so.

Thank you very much for your support. Cheers,

I hope I can learn more and improve my new path.

Hi @ecfernandez ,

Thank you very much. This is noted that I should explain my need clearly.
I have seen the video already explaining the the View Frame which is I have already the idea.

What I want is to customize my Template say A1 1:100.

I am in a railway business and I understand that the Autodesk have a feature of Create Frame View on an alignment.
My concern is how is it possible to create in 1 is to 100 in metric and how will I be able to center it into an both track left and right.

Sorry for so many question. Thank you very much again for your quick response.

You'll need to create a layout in your plan production template and/or create a new template that has the new layout with the viewport(s) set to the scale you want.

I highly recommend watching some more videos on how the plan production tool works in C3D.

you say you have view frame but need a template / dwt file. and want it in metric.

you should have a civil3d metric launch shortcut and this would have metric dwt and metric styles.

the view frames you have seem to be useless to you. when making the view frames your are shown what drawing / dwt file to use.

Make your A1 view ports in a dedicated file that you point to in the create view frames dialog

Hi @Joe-Bouza,

Sorry for my late reply. What I did is just copy the existing metric template from the default file location.
These templates are located in  [\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\C3D <version>\enu\Template\Plan Production].
To Create View Frames for Plan/Profile Sheets
And just change on my Title Block and edit a view.

My other concern are.
1. My alignment chainage is from South to North. But I want my frames Sheet 1 to the End Start at the North to the South. I dont want my alignment to be reverse to change the framing but just the framing starting position. Is this possible.
2. I want my northing to be as much as possible to be of north. Is there other option to do so?

Thank you again for all you guys help.

Cheers to all,

Rod

Joe-Bouza,

Good morning,

I see, thank you very much for this information.

Just a correlating question.

We created an alignment and the Civil3D Auto frame it.
Is there a way that the text inclination or rotation of the align text/ tag/ chainage will follow the layout?
So that it will be not confusing into the eye. I mean I can do it manually in all but it will eat to much time.
Not an ideal and productive task in the age of automation right?
Meaning the text orientation should follow the layout it should be downward not upside down or something.

It doesn't matter what it may be in the model space.
Sorry for so many question.

Cheers,
Rod

Civil3d label styles NFI this by default. First tab of the style creation dialog can be set to view, object or world. You want View.

MYEXT and MULTI LEADER can be set to view as well. Although my preference is to work in the vport with ICS set to view
