Hello All,

I have been trying to create Plan & Profile sheet sets in civil 3D. I have gone thru the set up and created sheets, however, my profile allways comes in at an angle and not lining up with the plan. - see attached drawing - Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?!

Thanks for your comments and help

It appears to be that your template has the viewport view twisted.

1. double click into your viewport and make sure it is unlocked.

2. You should see the UCS icon doesn't have a box in the corner, this mean it has a twist.

3. Type "UCS" and hit enter.  Hit enter for "world".

4. Type "Plan" and hit enter twice to put the UCS back to normal.

5. Save your drawing

6. Try again.

Please note I forgot to put your scale back to 1:200 in the file I uploaded.  Look at the UCS icon in the file I sent, that's how a normal UCS icon looks.  The one in your drawing doesn't have the small box in the corner.

i am old fashioned when it comes to sheets

1. set a view in model space for the profiles

2. set a view for each street of the plan view (based on stations)

3. go to paper space

4. create a viewport

5. go into model space in the viewport

6. enter VIEW

7. select the view for that sheet <enter>

8. switch to paper space

9. select the plan viewport - to check the scale and then lock the viewport.

10. do the same for the profile view.

11 repeat for each sheet.

has worked for years.

good luck
