Create profile from file and Profile Creation Tool

I have created a txt file with 2 columns of statioings and elevation, space delimited. 

Once I choose to create profile from file, it always show " _AeccCreateProfileFromFile Number of lines processed is 45." Please see attched txt file.

I try to craete a profile using those stationing and elevation in the txt file to avoid to build a surface, but it dones't show me anything eventually.

Also, if I choose profile creation tool, it keeps asking "select profile view to create profile". I have no idea how or where to select profile view.

Create the ProfileView and your profile from file will show up in it.

Pick the alignment on the screen. On the ribbon, select Profile View. This will create the Profile View. This has to exist before you can see the profiles.
