Create manual points by angles and distances with backsight 2015

In civil 2010 to create a set of points using a starting point with a backsight on a line of reference, I use the commands: create points manually, 'ss, p, click starting point, then backsight, then enter the angle and distance. And the angles always reference the starting point with backsight not the last drawn point. Now when I tried this on my computer civil version 2015 I clicked create points manually, 'ss, then it asked for either p,n,g. p being point, n being northing, and g being pick object . None of these were the option to pick a starting point with a backsight (p). How do I do what I was doing in version 2010 easily and efficiently in 2015?

A,

I don't have 2015 to test this, nor 2010 to see how it was, but 2016 works OK. All I can suggest is to install latest service packs and try again.

I'm with PD on this one using C3D15_SP3

Did these steps.

  1. Draw line.
  2. Pick Create Manual
  3. Select 'ss Transparent Command from Toolbar
  4. Select Line at nearest instrument position
  5. Angle - Distance request
  6. Enter Description
  7. A-D request etc......
