Create line by best fit crashing a specific drawing.

Any time I use the CREATELINEBYBESTFIT command in a specific drawing I get the attached message. I have tried other commands, and they work as they are supposed to. I tried other "best fit" commands and they also crash the program. I tried using the "best fit" commands in other drawings and it works as it is supposed to.

Have you tried Auditing or Recovering the drawing?

I have. And it still is only applying to the one drawing.

You may have to copy everything from that drawing and paste into a new drawing.

That's pretty rough... I tried the next best thing and had our IT manager restore the drawing from yesterday (CREATELINEBYBESTFIT worked this morning for an hour or two), and the problem is still occurring. 

currently, I am copying the line work that I am averaging with the command and pasting them onto another drawing and using the command. annoying, but it is working.
