create a profile from point file

Hello,

First time creating a profile from a point file. So I was watch a video by Jeff Bartell where he opens a notepad and types the station elevations and curve radiius and the begin and end can not have any curves and a space between the station elevations and curves. In my situation I have no curves just pi's. I already have a profile view of the surface og.

So as a example I have this:

1038.66 348.00

1045.34 320.00

2010.33 300.00

I saved this file as a .txt per video.

When I go to profile>profile from file and input all the info I get a error unable to create profile. Unabe to create profile. The text file contains space deliminated numerical values only.

I have checked evey and I dont see any extra space.

I am not able to post the file.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

I've never done it this way so thought I would give it a try.

I created a similar txt file on an existing profile view that I had and it worked.

I guess in your case...  in your example, the stations would be 10+38.66 etc.   Make sure your Profile View is showing that range of stationing and that it is the correct range of elevations.
