Dear Experts,

I am not expert in Civil3D, I made a storm water pipe line,  I would like to add Pipe Cover Clearance and Depth of IL.   Cover Clearance Formula I know, but I don't know how to apply in Civil3D.

Formula= (Cover Level - Invert Level) then minus  (Pipe Dia & Pipe Half Wall Thickness).

Pipe Dia - 1200

Pipe Outer Dia, is  1390

Pipe Half thickness is .145

Also how its possible to add each 10M interval levels of all bands.  I attached the file for your kind consideration.

Look at the Pipe rules. Then apple the rules to the pipe.

@Anonymous,

Hopefully this will help you to show the required information's on profile view.

Well cant add/show the information for pipes because pipe line information shown based on up stream end and down stream end. so i have used the profile by layout option to show the same. you can use the same method to show any other information related to pipes. feel free to discuss if you didn't get how to do it.

I don't know of a way to enforce pipe separation requirements. I believe NAVISWORKS can help you find where there are violations to the minimum requirements but I think you have to edit the pipes manually.

@Anonymous,

Well the original post requirement was to have/show clear cover at every 10mtr interval for the main pipe network.
the one you sent image that's belongs to crossing pipe where it's completely different to the main pipe line. if you want to have/increase the pipe clear cover you have to change the crossing pipe inverts and it will update on the profile.

Dear Experts

I have a specific project requirement from my client he wants to see the below mentioned requirements.

1. Is it possible to give 10M Pipe Invert levels  in Band between the two Structure from pipe network.
2. I would like to add in Band Pipe Cover Clearance levels in Band (Formula added in the Drawing)
3. I would like to add Pipe Depth in Band - (MH Cover Level - Pipe Invert Level)
4. Is any way to give existing crossing pipe Top Level fixed from the FRL Below 1M. Exactly need like Green Clouded.

The pipe rules are I given, Slope 0, Minimum Cover 1M. Maximum Cover 10M. unfortunate not getting the exact.

In the profile clouded area is some line showing related the Middle of MH. When I try to remove the Middle MH is deleting.

Does Autodesk or anyone else have a trick to show above mentioned issue,   I am new to this.

Yours early response will be highly appreciated.

Some tips:

Ad 1) You can create pipe invert profile and use it to display values every 10 m. To create this profile manually is a very tedious job so I would suggest to use third party application for that.

Ad 2) The same like above, you just need to create profile for pipe outside top. And you can use profile band which displays Profile1 minus Profile2 values.

Ad 3) The same like Ad 2)

Ad 4) I do not know any command which can do it. I know command which can move selected pipes 1 m below ground but it only sets the depth at the pipe start/end, not at the crossing alignment.

Do these crossing pipes have slope? If yes, do all have the same slope? I am asking because it might be possible to do it programmatically for all of them at once.
