Corridor Will not Display Codes

I can't post the drawing. So I'm hoping someone else has experienced this:

I have a dwg with many corridors. I had to change the geometry of some subassemblies, but didn't touch the link, point or shape codes. Now my main corridor shows just fine, but the smaller ones don't show up with any code set style, either in plan or in section. I can make surfaces from these now-invisible corridors, and the surfaces reflect the changes in geometry I've made. And I can Dref these corridors into another dwg and they show up in plan and section views as intended, using the same styles as the source drawing. I've switched the code set style to NoDisplay and then back to my plot code set style. Nothing. Even Basic code set style shows me nothing. This doesn't make any sense. I've turned C3D off and back on. I'm about to get a hammer.

Anyone have an idea? (I totally realize posting the drawing would help.)

Posting the drawing will surely help. Just a simple check maybe you have accidentally frozen it or turn in off. Can you check the layers and thaw and on everything just for checking? Try to do audit and maybe it will also re-appear. If you still can't see your corridor, try to select the corridor in the toolspace and in property change the code set to all codes and rebuild corridor and see if it will re-build. Last option I can think of is go to all your assembly and check and see if you can see a corrupt assembly that needs to be waken up.

Thanks. I did all the above except this last bit: How would I see if an assembly was corrupted and how would I wake it up?

Hi @jmartt,

The corrupt assembly happens in rare case but it looks something like this. Lets say you are using this assembly in your corridor and it is not showing up in you assembly properly. Then you need to "wake it up" just a term we use here. All you need to do is to find if there's an assembly that suddenly don't look correct like the one below then by selecting it and clicking assembly property then click construction tab and ok would make it look the same as the image below. That is what we end up calling waking it up.

I wish that was a rare case. If what you're describing is what I've experienced, it happens all the time...But only if I don't start the assembly build with a special generic vertical link of zero length. I've never had an assembly jump out like that on me if I add that thing first. I have it with a "Start" icon on my tool palette so I don't forget. Gotta thank Cylwik for that lil nugget of wisdom.

But no, that doesn't do it. I've been in the Construction tabs many times. It's uncanny. But I can rebuild the disappeared corridors from scratch without too much trouble, so that's what I'll do.

If this happens to me again, with a drawing I can post, I'll find revisit this thread. Thanks for the shot-in-the-dark.
