Corridor surface does not match assembly

Hello,

I created a corridor surface from the corridor of assembly. However, the corridor surface does not match the assembly sections which should be the channel alignment as show below.

Can anyone show me how to adjust the corridor surface to match the channel? I also attach the dwg. file.

As this will result in incorrect volume calculation later on.

Thanks.

Hi @kien_nguyenFVYJ8

Your corridors requires subassembly (subassemly1)  that are not in my system....

Did you use any custom subassemblies with Autodesk Subassembly Composer? If yes, please zip them and attach them.

Thanks

I have problem with the corridor surface (Tin surface: DS 2) for Ch. 1+900 to Ch. 3+450 subassembly as shown below.

At the moment, the corridor surface DS 2 is the green area whereas it should be the red area as below. I don't know why the surface area extends to be the green one, may be due to the curve shape of the corridor. I didn't have this problem with a straight corridor.

Hi,

From your image it seems like your corridor surface does not have a boundary. Adding it might solve the issue.

Hi @kien_nguyenFVYJ8

Yes, as @Jeew-m you have problem with your corridor surface boundary for the surface DS2.

If you are not able to make quick + automatic corridor boundary you can try to add restrictions during the build of your surface. See the below screenshots.

Hello @kien_nguyenFVYJ8,

I understand that you are facing an issue with creating corridor surfaces in Civil 3D. This is a common problem and can be solved by following these simple steps:

1. Select the corridor surface that you want to work on.
2. Determine the maximum angle you want to connect by line with a point.

3. Implement the fix by following the instructions.

Let me know if you need any further assistance.
