Corridor slope intersection

Hi,

I ran into an issue while i was modeling a corridor:

Regions intersect each other and keep going till the given elevation (I use a subassambly which links a slope to an elevation). Is there a way to make them stop on intersection, like gradings would?

Maybe it's as simple as using a different subassambly, I have tried a few but no luck yet.

Using a grading isn't really an option here, because the area is large and it has some tricky transitions (and also i don't like errors).

Perhaps I am wrong but I think you will need to pick out a region of one area of your corridor and make a final surface (maybe temporary) and then you will have something for the other side to intersect.

Hi,

Create two corridor surface. 

Find the intersection of the corridor surfaces (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys1ROyEXv6w)

Then set a target to that intersection line for both corridors through the assembly.

You have several options.

If they are separate corridors, just run one, generate the top surface from it (let's call it TOP1), create a new surface that pastes EG then TOP1, and then use this EG+TOP1 surface as the surface target of corridor #2. EG+TOP1+TOP2 would be your FG.

If it's the same corridor and different baselines, you could do this: pick one of the regions, have a generic link shoot to the other region's edge (strip the codes from it to make it a non-drawing link), snap a marked point to it, then target the marked point with a link slope between points. Essentially how a median works. You can probably pull an auto corridor feature line to use for the offset/elevation target of the generic link.
