Corridor Section Viewer Sample Width

Is there a setting that controls the width of the sample line in the corridor section viewer? I want to limit the width to a specific distance.

You can set a Default View Scale using View/Edit Options while in the Corridor Section Editor.

Also, if you go can zoom to an offset and elevation or to a subassembly.

Thanks Tim. What I am looking for is a way to limit the extents of the sampling. I have a switch back road and the sections are extending all the way to the top and bottom of the hill.

@Neilw_05 The section editor doesn't "sample". It simply clips your drawing either side of the sample line and then sets the UCS so you are looking straight on the section. You can draw linework in the section and it will show up in the plan because it's just another view of the drawing. Because of this, I don't think there's a setting that will allow you to clip it in a second dimension.

Thanks Brian. Kind of what I thought but hoped there was a workaround.

Sample Line Group Properties lets you set your sample line widths en masse or individually. If you have switchbacks, individually might be better for you. Might you want different widths at different points along the alignment?

If you can come up with an Alignment that will work as a limit line for Sample Lines, use that as the sample width when you create the sample lines. I don't think you can go back later.

Right Tim. I went ahead and cut section views.

How far from the sample line does it clip?
