Corridor Dropped in Elevation

I have a corridor for a roadway project and at some point the entire proposed corridor dropped in elevation 3-4". I have a version of the drawing where in the section view there is a "section" line that shows the 3-4" low and the "corridor section" at the correct elevation, but if I rebuild my corridor it drops the 3-4". The corridor dropped by the same amount the entire length of the project.

The corridor was build an alignment for horizontal control and existing surface for vertical control (matching existing crown to proposed crown).

I feel like there has to be any easy fix, but I don't work with corridors often enough to figure it out easily.

Being that it could be a number of things causing this issue, you may need to post your drawing so that others are able to troubleshoot the problem.

This is the version where the corridor looks right, but when you rebuild it drops.

Can you promote your existing surface data reference and reattach the drawing?

I will take a look at the new drawing that you posted. In the mean time... 

Somehow, and I have no idea how, you have two existing surface cross section and they differ from one another. After rebuilding your subassemblies to add a crown to your corridor surface it appears correct. I don't know where Civil 3d is getting the data for the other surface. I will take a look at your drawing where the surface has been prompted. Something strange is definitely going on.

The surface that you promoted does not have a crown. Did someone remove the center portions of the surface? It appears that old data is lingering in the drawing and is displayed in the cross sections. When I update the corridor it correctly follows the existing surface along the crown of the corridor, however; two things...

1) your corridor surface does not have a crown - Recreate your subassembly, avoid using a codeless subassembly

2) your existing surface appears to have had the crown removed. 

The corridor follows the profile of the existing surface. 

Your sample line group isn't sampling your existing surface, but your cross sections were showing an existing surface (this is what I mean by lingering data). The cross sections show an existing surface with a crown but your data referenced surface doesn't have a crown (or it was removed).

The existing surface section (that contains a crown) does not have a data source.

Add your 'Exist Surface' to your sampled sources and you will see that you have two different existing surfaces. One with a crown and one with the crown removed. 

You will need to trouble shoot your data reference and figure out what is going on there. I suspect that you might have a circular data reference issue (pasted surface into the data referenced surface). 

I hope that this helps in figuring out what is going on.

I finally got back to working on this one. Apparently when I deleted a couple of busts out of my existing surface, the crown was accidentally deleted too. Everything is fixed. Thank you so much!
