Coordinate system issue

Autocad C3D claims that coordinate system codes NVHP-WF and HARN/NV.NV-WF are interchangeable, and the same as EPSG3431.  However, this does not appear to be true.  If I set my coordinate system to HARN/NV.NV-WF, export some points using the FGDB export function, and import that GDB database into global mapper, global mapper shows the GDB actually has it's datum set to WGS84, not NAD83.  If I set my coordinate system to NVHP-WF, export some points using the FGDB export function, and import that GDB database into global mapper, global mapper shows the GDB has the correct datum of NAD83 (NEVADA HPGN) - NADCON.  The two GDB databases referenced above, if both brought into global mapper, result in a shift of over a foot!  Needless to say this is a big deal.  NVHP-WF and HARN/NV.NV-WF are definitely not the same, and HARN/NV.NV-WF is definitely not EPSG3431.

OK so if memory serves me (and the gray stuff is getting a little old) isn't NV in International Feet now, which would put the HARN data in US Survey Feet, as its mostly "outdated" while the current NV State Plane System 2011 would be correct. (just guessing here without a dataset)

Maybe @Pointdump can elaborate, if I'm in error here.

Hi George,
No doubt you're right, but where is the FGDB Export Function? GDB doesn't seem to be a format option with MAPEXPORT.

George,
Thanks for posting about this. It's my learning moment for today.
Doing some reading about how to >>>Export Civil 3D Objects to File Geodatabase (FGDB) Format<<<, I see that they also have a long list of >>>Coordinate Systems Not Supported<<<.
Looks like they need to add HARN/NV.NV-WF to that list.

@rl_jackson Nevada is currently on NV West Nad83(2011), or EPSG 6523, you're right.  However it is still survey feet, not international feet, according to NRS statute.  We're in Washoe county, and all of our maps are required to use the old system - NV West HARN, which is why I've found this issue.  HARN is just the 1994 epoch of NAD83.

@Pointdump Maybe that's what's going on, the coordinate system HARN/NV.NV-WF isn't supported.  It does export it though, and does give it a coordinate system, it's just wrong, not unsupported.  If you run "MAPCSASSIGN" you can see how coordinate systems relate to EPSG codes.

@Pointdump if you are still looking at how to do a GDB export, see photo below:

George,
Feel free to add your well-written description of the problem to the >>>MAPCSLIBRARY Errors and Omissions<<< thread I started in the Map 3D Forum.
